2.2 Assessment and student data

All assessment data, student results, class rosters, and educator development journals are stored locally in a databas e on your device. This data is never uploaded to any server unless you explicitly choose to do so.

2.4 AI and anonymisation

When AI analysis is used for student reports, all data is anonymised before being sent to the AI service. Student name s are replaced with identifiers (Student A, Student B, etc.) and no personally identifiable information leaves your devic e.

If you provide your own Gemini API key, it is stored locally in your application settings. It is sent only to Google’s API servers when you use AI features, and is never transmitted to STEAMpowered.team.

The polls application does not use any third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. No data is shared with third parties.

3.3 Poll responses

Student poll responses are stored on the poll server for the duration of the poll session. The educator (poll administ rator) controls when data is exported or deleted. Student names entered during polls are used only for session identifica tion.

4. Children’s data

EduData is designed for use in educational settings where students may be under 16. We collect the minimum data necess ary for the application to function. No student personal data is transmitted to cloud services. Educators are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent in accordance with their institution’s policies.

6. Data retention

Session cookies use SameSite=Strict to prevent cross-site request forgery. Poll servers operate over HTTPS. Local data is protected by your operating system’s file permissions.
